Check out our New Letters of Support:

"I came upon the YES! of America United, INC. program through Kathy who gave me the number for YES! At the first meeting I attended at the Temple Terrace Library I met Christine Rover and Becki and I did a walk around Temple Terrace for a safety walk and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then I attended meetings at lighthouse for the blind, grassroots, and finally that is when I joined YES!.  Joining YES! has truly changed my life. I was staying at home feeling sorry for myself, until I met Becki Forsell. She got me out of my house, and away from myself. Now I can do anything!  I thank everyone at YES! Everyone is now my friend.  I never dreamed that I would go to Tallahassee Florida and talk to Senators and Representatives, and have them listen to me!  Everyone at YES! is so supportive of each other. Every member is warm, friendly and compassionate.  Thank you to YES! of America United, INC. and for Becki Forsell."

"YES! has given me life. Now, because of YES! I have a reason to get out of bed every morning. I finally have a purpose, and something to look forward to.  I now understand how YES! saves lives one person at a time. YES! gave me hope, dreams and a place to go where I did not have any of these before.  When I joined YES! I met some pretty fantastic people. Everyone supports each other, no matter what. Disabilities are now abilities.  Where this was not available to me before I now have a Community Center I can call my second home.  I thank God every day for Becki Forsell and for YES!"

I also enjoy working with the Heartstrings Program of the Florida Orchestra and the Arts Council of Hillsborough County, giving all our members the opportunity to experience cultural events in the community.  I am honored to be part of YES! Of America United."

"As the Nation's only blind movie critic on radio (93.3 WFLZ), television and in newspapers I'm constantly looking for fun and entertainment. When someone mentioned a support group called YES! of America United I thought oh no not another group sitting around discussing their problems. Wrong! I have been sailing, driving go carts, gone to the theater and of course screened many movies with the group and had nothing but a great time."
- Joy Forry, Blind Movie Critic, 93.3 WFLZ

"YES! of America United is an exciting group of individuals that enjoy helping others to achieve their best possible potential. I joined this group around four years ago, not knowing what to expect. I am attending the University of South Florida and at times I get stressed from too much work. YES! of America United and its founder, Becki Forsell, have been there for me to give support when I needed it the most. For the last four years Becki has been there for many people who believe in their dreams and aspirations. Becki is a unique person in that she is very giving of herself to help others. I believe in YES! of America United and its goal to help other people in whatever they strive to be. Once, I finish school, I will give back to YES! of America United for all of its support that was given to me."
- Rick Brown

"YES! Of America United has helped me feel good about myself through volunteerism. Through YES! Of America United I have volunteered with the Freedom Playground Wheel-A-Thon, raising money to build a playground for kids with disabilities and also with Sincerely Santa, giving gifts to disadvantaged kids.  I feel good that I have been able to give back to the community helping others.  YES! Of America United will give me the opportunity to volunteer in many more ways in the future.  I am proud to be a member of YES! Of America United which includes people with all disabilities."

"I Started at YES! of America United, INC. on December 18, 2006. I was introduced to the organization many years ago when the organization met at the Temple Terrace Recreation Center. I was re-introduced by my job coach at Project return, Susan. We had been searching for a part-time job suitable for my disabilities and for my physical limitations. Susan, my job coach, mentioned a need at this organization called YES! for an administrative assistant. At first I was reluctant seeing the duties of the job description, but my job coach gave me the encouragement I needed to fullfil the job duties & so I accepted the job. Working for YES! has helped me to be a more positive person. It has been a privilege to work alongside such a wonderful woman as Becki Forsell. Becki gave me the tough love that I so needed. YES! has given me the skills that will be useful in my creative writing and in being a published author. I have also had the wonderful chance to interact with some wonderful people whom I would not have met if I stayed at home. Being a volunteer helps me even more because I am helping those who are in the need of some of the same skills some of the volunteers at YES! have helped me to learn."
